Bois 1920 (2005)

A sort of Davidoff Zino's close relative and La Martina Cuero's first cousin, just more sandalwood in the mix and a fainter patchouly with the floral wave of a royal jasmine. Retro in vibe and classic.

VERY imposing scent. I always thought that despite the fact that I like it, that it was offensive.

When I was about to give up on it, one day I had pulled in to the parking garage at work. There was a woman walking a way behind... I heard her speed up her pace. When I got into the elevator with her, she says "pardon me, do not take this as an advance, but you smell absolutely hypnotizing! What is that scent?" Quite the booster! She was well dressed, Hermes scarf and bag... so she had good taste :))

Also had a female VP in my office come to me after a meeting and say that it must be be that smells so wonderful.

I have since put that bottle away in my closet, but will resurrect over the winter.

Has a very nice retro vibe. Reminds me a lot of Bois 1920 Sushi Imperial minus the apple fruity notes. This fragrance says I am a masculine confident guy. Longevity and projection are above average 7/10

Bois 1920 Extreme

I really do enjoy this scent. I was so happy to have some cold weather to wear this one and share my thoughts. To me this one opens "extremely" strong and very green and herbal with some bitterness.(bitter in a good way) .It than gradualy turns into a very clever mostly tonka scent with some vanilla and just enough bourbon to counter the sweetness of the tonka and vanilla combination.Would not describe this is a boozy scent but its in there but not dominate at all. I should mention there is also some of that green herbaceous feeling from the opening remain in the background to various degrees throughout .Definitely enough variation in the development in this scent to entertain. To me this is an excellent masculine scent I thought for sure .However when my girlfriend gave this one a spray.(the attractive bottle gets you every time) it smelled so different and feminine on her skin.The jasmine really steals the show with this one on her. It smelled incredible and now we share this one. I guess that make this one an obvious 2 thumbs up! My very favorite from this house.

Excellent projection +7hrs and longevity +18hrs

I just received this fragrance in the mail and it is simply amazing. The opening is awesome, the middle is heaven, and the longevity is to die for. What a fragrance.....men, you are in for a treat. I now own 7 of bois fragrances and it is becoming EXTREMEly hard to choose which to wear!!!!
Very manly, woodsy with a hint of vanilla-I do get the green also as the fragrance evolves. This was a blind buy, and I am glad I did. Men, use sparingly because you really don't need much to let anyone know you are in the room!

Bois 1920 Extreme is quite a good suprise. The opening is definitely manly with bitter and smoky green herbaceous accord (sorry but I don't get any fern here). It has a retrò-feel that I quite appreciate. In the drydown it developes to a sweeter velvety bourbon frangrance with Vanilla and Tonka Beans. The whole fragrance is well balanced, warm, absolutely comfortable and elegant. Although Extreme is a quite intense perfume it's not overwhelming and the Bourbon gives the Vanilla and Tonka Beans end a nice character and an exra touch of luxury. I don't know how it would be on a woman, but it's perfect on a man. Like it.
