Acqua Colonia Blood Orange & Basil

To my nose , this is a pretty good match for Hermes Orange Verte , especially once it dries down and you’ve got other smells in the background. Sadly the longevity isn’t any better, but it’s no worse either and it’s about a third of the price. The whole 4711 line is actually very good and amazing value for a more understated and subtle sillage.

A refreshing spritz! Doesn't have the depth of Hermes Orange Verte, but I wouldn't expect it to. I don't get other notes apart from the orange and basil. The basil is green, light, herbal and a bit dusky.

A true unisex fragance for men and women for daily wear...opens with a bold intensity of pure orange that is bright and sweet with interesting bitter notes upon dry down. The heart of this fragrance and a sweet orange and fresh green notes that sing with the quality of earthy grass and vaguely vegetal notes. Mature, sophisticated...absolutely delightful and pleasingly provocative! Lasts 6+ hours on skin...projection is only fair, but a great addition to any fragrance wardrobe.
