Oh, nice. Yes on the fizzy citrus opening; very springy and light, fizzy and bright, with a warm undertone of vanilla wood/amber. A really great mix of clear amber and fizzy citrus. There's a touch of powdery sensation, but on me the powdery stays tolerable (I'm a powder hater) and it’s really pretty. The only downside is that it doesn’t last very long. It becomes the faintest of skin scents within a few hours and I'm almost back to bare skin at day’s end.

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! This is exactly what I dreamt Ambre des Merveilles would smell like, when it didn't. It's sweeter, but not cloying. The sugar is the one of mandarine skin. Performances are good.

It seems every house that want an image of exclusive opulence will release an amber (see all jewllery houses with a perfume line). It seems amber has become a catch-all description for any dense, earthy, powdered, rich, spicy dry down.

The AC achieves this dense, earthy, powdered, rich, spicy dry down in quite a novel way. There is a slightly off/dirty/spicy citrus top (reminding me of Bigarde Concentree) followed by a dense floral - the note list says marigold and that description is spot on, also with a dusty patchouli. To add interest, the scent goes a little creamy and sweet via a dry down to cinnamon spiced sandal wood. The glossy amber glow is present throughout and the scent always smells natural

If looking for a more interesting amber with a clean/dirty composition this may well be one to check out. Think about Prada Amber going out for a weekend bender, coming back disheveled, dirty and about a decade more worldly!. I'd say Tauer's L'DDM pretty well does this "amber" job in my collection.
Projection seems close. Overall 73/100

A medicinal orange scent mixed with warm amber and then the cinnamon kicks in for some spicy fun.

Pretty good projection. Longevity is good, lasts about 8-10 hours.

A supreme take on Amber with out being overbearing. This is a very smooth scent from start to finish. I would say it does start of slightly masculine with the spice. Closer to the dry down this rides the unisex line perfectly... not too sweet not to floral not to spicy. Enjoyable across the board... Try before you buy due to pricing.... otherwise Enjoy!

Although I can tell this is an amber scent, it's a typical fresh take a la Atelier Cologne; the amber doesn't have the sharp, thick or dry qualities, the fragrance is creamy and gourmand-ish. The freshness at the beginning is replaced by a subtle bouquet of flowers. To me, this is in the lines of Vanille Insensee; not a duplicate, but both are approaching the same theme.
