Niche fragrances are fun but sometimes a designer fragrance just hits the comfort spot better especially ones that have a memory attached to the wearer.

Anna Sui by Anna Sui is a perfume I have loved from a distance since I was 11 years old and first discovering the gothic scene for myself. It seems that a lot of millennials who enjoy that scene have fond memories of this specific perfume due to it's packaging and marketing clearly aimed at gothic femmes, preteen to early 20s (unusual for the time!). I recently bought a full bottle so younger me could feel happy and it still is so nice to wear!

On opening, raspberry mixed with apricot and bergamot immediately makes itself known, subtly switching to powdery violet & rose with the fruity notes still lingering nearby after twenty minutes drying down to a really nice scent reminiscent of Hot Topic stores circa 2000-2006 mixed with a light floral scent! It's super nostalgic for me and one I'm so happy to be able to wear as I please - my only complaint is not being able to get it in any size larger than a 30ml & it being EDT instead of EDP strength. Beyond that, this is one older designer fragrance still worth buying, whether for your first time or hundredth!

I brought a few before they discontinue , I really like it and very unique, after more than a decade, I still love it. now I used it before bed Time.

Recommended for Victorian era buffs and lovers of all things gothic. Because despite the number of notes, this one is all about a vintage-style powdery rose.

Not my taste, but thumbs up for longevity and value.

i'm not adding anything earth shatteringly different than anyone else here that gave this a positive: a pretty whisper of a perfume of violets, rose and powder. very similar to agent provacteur eau emotionelle. the bottle is more beautiful than any thing else about this perfume.

It has a nice soft scent that is not overly flowery or powdery. But once I put it on, I can barely smell it. It disappears too quickly on my skin. :( Sounds like it works better for others. I really wanted to like this one, too.

Very powdery rose/violet scent. I don't get any fruity notes. Reminds me very much of Lutece by Dana without the Lily of the Valley.
