Aseel is a potent rose-oud fragrance with a soapy white musk doing most of the heavy lifting in the background. The opening is dominated by the metallic sharpness of rose geraniol and the taunting acidity of saffron. The sharp medicinal twang of the Montale oudy aromachemical is clearly recognizable here: lovers of Black Aoud and Aoud Musk might want to check this out.
The rubbery oud, the saffron, and the green rose are all stacked up front, like boobs in a Wonder Bra. The denouement, as it so often happens in these cases, is a disappointment – a vast expanse of clean, cottony musk and little else. It smells like laundry detergent straight from the bag, but also exotic in a broad, Disneyfied way. Eventually, the roar of the musk dies back somewhat, allowing a scratchy rosy amber to peek through. My husband wears it.

After several recommendations, I decided to blind buy Aseel.. boy was I led on. This basically smells like Dove bar soap with a cheap bleach like oud accord. Glad I only bought the pocket spray and nothing more.

Overall a pretty nice little take on traditional style "manly" cologne frag. But here's a real dousy. Mix this with Sharqiah. Aseel and sharqiah is AMAZING in my opinion. give it 20-30 minutes to dry down and its AWESOME. . I decanted it and mixed it a with just a lil perfumers alcohol making it a eau de parfum of sorts and that I think really does it right to allow both scents to open up and get your attention in a proper respect.
A woody fragrance with dominant rose and oud top notes. Slightly feminine and headache-inducing with a long wear of this
Montale Black and Red Aoud combined into one fragrance. Longevity is great, sillage is acceptable and the price is out of this world. This is niche smell without the expensive ingredients but hey who really cares? You will smell great wearing it and that is all that matters. The oud note to me is the same synthetic smokey oud that Montale uses . What's not to like?
Very synthetic smelling. The only notes I can pick up are the artificial rose/jasmine notes; I'm not picking up on the frankincense or oud that other reviewers have mentioned.
I'm not sure that this wears well for men; it's not a "masculine rose" like you'd find in Creed Windsor or C&S 88. It very much reminds me of cheap drugstore fragrances targeted towards women. If you like those kinds of scents, you may enjoy this.
