Thumbs up with a small margin! As a fan of the original Azzaro PH, Azzaro PH Summer Edition was a straight blind buy for me. And I'm happy that it is not disappointing.

Described in many other reviews, it is fresher, toned down, crispier version of the original - as intended for summer.

Top: Crisp lemon/mandarin kicks in, and continues overall - only not just as crisp as initial spray.

Mid: Cumin shows itself, crispiness is gone and scent is super fresh.

Base: Very light version of the original Azzaro PH, still fresh, but couldn't differentiate much from the mid notes.

Overall this is a go to scent for warmer climates, daily office use. However I'd still prefer the original hands down.

Stardate 20170321:

A citrusy flanker of the original. Lighter and fresher. They have toned down barbershopiness and amped up freshness to be more palatable to millennials.
Not as good as original but a worthy flanker.

A true 'summer' variation of the original.
How do you make a barber-shop fragrance summer? Simple: add lots of citrus.
The outcome is the original dressed in orange. It's like removing the jacket of a three piece suit while retaining the third piece and rolling up your sleeves. Still somewhat formal, obviously relaxed.
I don't love it though, I like my citruses fizzy.
This also reminds me a ton of Mr. Blass by Bill Blass. Difference is that MB relies on opoponax-like accord while APHS uses cumin.

Azzaro Pour Homme Summer Edition 2013 es una fragancia de la familia olfativa aromática Fougère y se lanzó en 2013.
Scent notes include top notes of lemon, mandarine, middle notes of petitgrain, artemisia and base notes of cuminum y abrótano.
The bottle is a design by Pierre Dinand.
The fragrance is quite similar to the original version, but opens up much fresher, with plenty of orange and citrus top notes. The dry-down is also a little fresher, but with the same cuminum and typical Azzaro heart. The sillage and proyection are amazing and I would rate this signature fragrance as a 9,5 out of 10. If it were a bit more complex, it would receive a straight 10. It's the better and younger version of the traditional Azzaro pour homme without fundamental distorsions.
