Bakhur, authored by Sileno Cheloni for AquaFlor, is an aromatic ode to frankincense.
An unlisted note of cinnamon gives Bakhur some warmth as well as accenting the metallic facets of frankincense (which become more pronounced with time). Bakhur is rounded out by fir balsam, with some appealingly dirty, somewhat enigmatic earthiness lurking in the base.

Bakhur is heaven brought down to earth! According to the lady at the counter and the site it's composed from just one note: Omani Incense! I do get something else quite prominent though. Fir Balsam. Once it hits on the skin, it smells sweet, fresh and balmy, after a while it gets peppery, slightly animalic and on the dry-down you get a very dry incense with a lemony hint and lots of fir balsam. It smells very much like the incense resin but without the usual "church" note, probably due to the absence of myrrh. It makes itself get noticed without giving you a slap on the face or a headache. Very high quality juice!
