Bourbon French Bergamot

Bergamot is almost always in the top notes of any perfume, yet until now I have never experienced it on its own. The Bergamot fruit itself is a hybrid of lemon and bitter orange, the size of an orange, but green both in skin and in internal pulp and juice.

Bourbon French's Bergamot is refreshingly citric with both orange and lemon effects, slightly sharp and effervescent, like a Gin Fizz drink. This may be the effect I always thought of as an aldehydic blast.

It is quite light and fleeting, so a perfect choice for a warm summer's day, though it would need many re-applications during the course of that day. Another true and delightful soliflore from this little known New Orleans house.
