I must be losing my nose. I don't smell Aramis Calligraphy which is a heavy on the saffron and I don't get much rose or oud. What I do get is a lemon-drop candy opening with deeper development of patchouli and amber with rose and oud lurking in the background. It never loses its tartness to my nose but seems quite versatile. It's been compared to ASAQ Qurashi Blend which I can't speak to, but it does smell very similar to Taif Al Emarat T10 - even the bottles are fairly close but Blue Sapphire is probably close to 4 times the price tag. That being said I prefer T10 as it has a wonderful rosemary note and feels perhaps a bit more suitable.

This is simply a pretty standard rose-oud perfume. Nothing groundbreaking or particularly impressive ... just a decent composition without a drop of real oud to justify the price tag. An easy pass for me.

I haven't smelled the Aramis calligraphy that has been wildly compared to BTV B.Sapphire... Even if BTV is a copy, i appreciate the detailing of the bottle & the Juice gives a luxurious feeling.
Expensive as hell! given that you could buy 2-3 quality niche fragrances with that amount of money.
However some things aren't for all & i'll suggest the Aramis Calligraphy (based on comparisons made by others) for those who don't want to pay the price.
I think the Aesthetic side of it appeals to some of us.

I see the reviews above and cannot agree anymore. I am paying like 500 GBP for a fragrance which is replica of Aramis Calligraphy. Has Aramis and this one sprayed on left and right arms and couldn't detect any difference.
The only thing I noticed it the performance interms of projection and longevity was huge when compared to Aramis. I am giving 3 stars as from a price point of view this fragrance is not worth atall.

For the longest time, I have been in two minds about writing a review for this perfume.

You see....This was sent to me by BTV MD as a gesture of good faith (after having a small problem with one of their products.)
I was blown away by the generous gesture and, at the time, I though it was way OTT.

That was until I bought Aramis Calligraphy** Of which, this BTV offering is an unashamed 100% copy. And I mean that!. These two match each other in every way, they even transition from one level to the next nearly at the same time.

Is almost as if they have just taken the Aramis offering and, decanted it into that pretty bottle!
The only thing going for this BTV is that it has Slightly better quality raw materials but, is not worthy of the price.

I'll still give it a thumbs up but, Get the Aramis and save yourself a bundle!
Sorry BTV, I can't keep quiet anymore.

**Calligraphy.... old tall bottle formula, the new formulation is not even a shadow of its former self.

This fragrance is a very fine fragrance and it is priced to match - $885/bottle. I would describe it as a floral oud and leather perfume. The combination of Rose, cardamom and Oud gives the impression of a mild version of Oud Ispahan. Blue Sapphire is a highly blended perfume that uses rose and oud with a bite of cardamom for mysteriousness and is also influenced by jasmine and a patchouli/amber base. Like many of these newer releases from BdV there is very fine jasmine that sets the center into a swirling flurry above indole earthiness which ties to the oud aroma nicely. A slight leather dryness wraps this bundle in soft suede. Overpriced in my view, but it is among the best offerings from Boudicea the Victorious so it must receive a thumbs up. An exotic and alluring, totally unisex fragrance, that I would be happy to own if I had the extra cash. A rating of 3.5 of 5 stars is well earned.
