Latest Reviews of Brioni Eau de Parfum Intense
Went to the store a few times to try this. Just received my bottle it the mail, and I really enjoy this fragrance! Although designer, Brioni Eau de Parfum Intense version in my opinion is a very Niche quality fragrance. I think this could be a fragrance in the Pdm line; has a
nice Pdm quality to it. A fragrance that I have found myself to be in love with!
I get this o' to die for Saffron, some rich Tobacco, a bit of smokiness (Patchouli), dark, yet appealing leathery (oud) goodness that stands out distinctively! This intense version has great balance, one that my wife really likes, which is great for me! The drydown is this sweet, with a tiny powdery juxtaposed against some dark tobacco oud. Leaving the wearer in a scent trail that should be followed....

Similar to the standard : this is inoffensive instantly forgettable mediocrity. You get a verging on cloying patchouli vannila peppercorn. It's almost an achievement to reduce the note pyramid to the final result.
It's one thing to wax lyrical about Brioni's return to form and another to see it as a limp forwards from scrubbers to non scrubbers but especially given the designer pretences your money is far better spent elsewhere. You have been warned!
The best use of this is as a gift to someone pretentious who values brand over quality . And buy it for them in the sale. If your wife buys you this it's time for couple therapy...

People looking for innovative, or creative perfumes in the mid-priced designer space really have no further to look than the reinvigorated Brioni at this point. Brioni Eau de Parfum Intense (2021) continues what began with Brioni Eau de Parfum (2021) earlier in the year, meshing the stylistic excess of yesteryear with the smoothness, performance, and eminent wearability modern men seem to demand from their fragrances at this price point. The first one was mostly Michael Almairac revisiting his contributions to Dior Fahrenheit (1988) but wrapping it in a glaze of "blue fragrance". This "Bleu de Fahrenheit" approach was really much nicer than it had any right to be, with violet and leather playing with your garden variety fraîcheur du jour. Brioni Intense however, is an entirely different animal, coming deceptively in much the same bottle. Fans of things like Gucci Guilty Absolute pour Homme (2017) and anything Amouage should really keep an ear to the ground for this one, even if they didn't care for the previous Brioni from Almairac. Also credit where it's due to Karine Vinchon-Spehner for shaping this monster.
Lalique Group, formerly known as Art & Fragrance SA, took the Brioni license and tried to make fragrances that weren't strictly limited single-batch affairs like they had been since the mid-century, instead placing them under the umbrella they keep other holdings like Grès and Alain Delon. To that effect, the big worry was Brioni becoming more "designery" and to a degree the original entry was, but not this one. Brioni Eau de Parfum Intense is a spitfire combination of fruit and leather, the likes which I haven't seen since Maxim's pour Homme (1988) was first dropped on everyone's heads by Pierre Cardin after he bought the famous restaurant. Bergamot, pink pepper, and aldehydes are met by a heart of sour apple and mandarin orange swirled with patchouli and geranium. The base is also pretty sour, with both isobutyl quinoline leather and cypriol mixed with robertet's oud molecule, which shoots for a skunky barnyard vibe. All this is rounded and smoothed by vanilla, cedar, ambroxan, and vetiver. Fantastic performance, and fantastic projection await, although this is not a context-appropriate smell. I'd say don't use this in summer heat, and keep original Brioni Eau de Parfum for that.
Brioni Eau de Parfum Intense is a shot across the bow at "perfume is dead, long live perfume" types who think good masculine market fragrances in the mid-tier realms died in 1992, and try to gatekeep the rest of us out of their walled gardens for not having 150 bottles of Yves Saint Laurent Kouros (1981) from the first generation Charles of the Ritz era stacked like the pyramids of Giza. This one challenges you to come off your high horse (or is that a rocking chair?) and actually smell something made in the 21st century without dismissing it sight unseen as a shower gel bubblegum "panty dropper" cooked by AI and shaped by brow-beaten corporate perfumers. Yes, most modern mass-market fragrances come from a corporate dystopian hellhole these days, but not this one. Unique, challenging, musky, virile, masculine, and fully signature-worthy, Brioni Eau de Parfum Intense is shaping up in my opinion to be the dark horse that faithful powerhouse fans have been so desperate to capture since Gucci dropped its leather bomb. My favorite perfume of 2021, hands-down. Everyone into fresh fruit for rotted minds (like mine) owes it to themselves to sample this. Thumbs up
