Brisk Spice fragrance notes
- green notes, clove, cinnamon, carnation, vanilla
Latest Reviews of Brisk Spice
If your looking for a great version of your dads old spice from the 80s and 90s (because his bottles lasted into the 90s.) Don't hesitate to buy this. I own the aftershave and the cologne. They are both spot on and perform well. I'd say my bottle of cologne at first has an odd note that goes away in a minute. Not sure if it's just it's age or what but after that, it makes me happy all day catching wiffs of it. Creamy spicy goodness.
Avon's Brisk Spice is (now, brace yourself) their version of Old Spice. If, after thinking about that, your brain immediately jumps to 'cheaper than cheap,' I should add that vintage Old Spice doesn't smell cheap. Neither does the modern, really. By extension, Brisk Spice may be a pared-down knockoff but it's beautifully simple and 50's classic in its approach. Most of what you'll detect is a vanilla-like, slightly powdery vanilla and heliotrope which backs this one up structurally from start to end, a dash of cinnamon, three or four dashes of clove, what strikes me as a peppery carnation, and a ghost of an herbal-green/floral blend somewhere in the mix.
This is a simple confection, and a very pleasant one. The after shave is stronger than most EDC's of late, and though longevity is only so-so, Brisk Spice, despite abbreviating to B.S., is a super-pleasant everyday kind of scent to have around.
It also works wonders as an after shave base in support of clovey scents like Catalyst, Jaipur Homme, Ikon, etc.

Refreshing spicy. Almost fougere style, like a spicy Brut. Not very potent but it is long lasting. Cool bottle, too. I was hesitant to try this seeing how I've associated Avon products with makeup and the movie Edward Scissorhands. This is good. I figure that Avon discontinues their products regularly because I recently asked an Avon sales lady about Brisk Spice and she had no idea what I was talking about and she's been in the business for 10 years. Nonetheless, I like this and will be sampling more of Avon's mens products.
