Bvlgari Man Terrae Essence

The previous reviewer obviously has not experienced the magnificent Terre D'Hermes. This is an inspired of it. Not bad, but will never be as good as the king. I have an impression that even though Morillas has some amazing creations, this is not one of them. I am a fan, but in parfumerie, I think J.C. Ellena has that magic touch that sets him apart, what a great magician!

This fragrance has a woody and slightly earthy scent with citruses lurking in the background. Upon first sniff, it comes off as musky, likely due to the iris and styrax, and leathery. Initially, I thought it was just another boring release by Bulgari, but upon further analysis, I realized it's more complex. The citron note isn't prominent in the drydown, but it lingers in the background, giving the woodiness depth and preventing the leathery notes from taking over. This balance is appreciated, although some might find it too petrol-leather-like. The citruses make it more palatable. The earthiness is not of a soil-like nature, but rather refers to the vetiver and leather backbone.

Performance is moderate, and it's ideal for spring and fall. While you won't miss out on much if you skip this scent, it's worth giving it a try if you come across it.

Bvlgari Terrae Essence is a relatvely ok try and effort to interpret the Terre d'Hermes style or maybe Dunhill Icon. However, I must stress out the word "try", because they tried alright, but it doesn't instigate the "must have" effect.

Definitely not a like on the first try, even to those who like Hermes. When the drydown starts, there's a pinch of modernistic sweetness in Bvlgari Terrae Essence. I just don't see it'll make the more experienced folk rush to get it, especially the younger crowd. Unlike Hermes, this Bvlgari iteration of its Man line is rough around the edges, maybe even a bit unpleasant.

Wow boy, wow! Mr. Alberto Morillas nailed again. This is way he is one of the best in the business since 1970🤘
This new release from Bvlgari, it's a superb fresh breath air for our community. So not only it's like a niche disguisedly in a mass market parfume.
It open with a strong citruss, like bergamot or citronel type, super realistic, and kinda pungent in your face, and than it becomes super resinous, with styrax, some frankincense ( Somali or omani) and beautiful butter orris rot. This is very earth kind like soily, fresh mud, in the middle with this Oris rott, that gives you the buttery- kinda carrots feel. But than fragrance evolve into a smooth-styrax, ambery resinous woodsy base. I suspect some very good quality of muscs and cedar along with vanilla and styrax. That's it. Terrae essence it's super chalangeing for those who are not into the resins-earty stuff, but heavenly for those who are the lovers of this genere. The quality of ingredients are good, it's not giving you the synthetic vibe, but instead a very natural and soily vibe.
Persistence it's super good with 8+ h and spillage its medium-but well perceptible.
For me it's a love at the first sniff, 10/10!
