Bourbon French – Carre

Carre is a men's scent, described as containing light citrus, oriental spices and musk. This is certainly an apt description. Among the spices detected are cinnamon and cardamom. I can also smell a light amber and vanilla accord. It is almost like a light version of Opium.

It is quite fresh and uplifting, not at all heavy as some oriental spice blends tend to be. It has a shimmering champagne effect, reminiscent of Lubin's 1955 creation, Gin Fizz. As such, it seems perfectly suited for day or evening wear by both men and women. This shimmering effect may heighten its desirability for wear in the deep south to counter effect the humidity of the region, allowing one to wear an oriental without feeling weighted down by its density.

A very nice gentleman's scent, delightfully different and recommended for all those into orientals.
