Lemon nitrile strikes again! Here it's overdosed to make that lemon last, because this is what the consumer wants, right? Lemony fresh that will stay on clothes after three washes, amirite? With this level of Lemonile, it verges on Pledge spray or Joy dishwashing liquid, and with whatever acrid, butyrate-heavy fruit basket underpinning it, I am left feeling nauseated at how crass it all feels. This is about as nuanced as a Thomas Kinkade painting.

I've smelled better fragrances that were in my Christmas stocking as a 13 year old in the 90s. Gravity blows this out of the water. Preferred Stock? Forget about it, a hallowed work of art in comparison. This Cedrat Boise? This is no niche, this is chemical warfare. The richest irony of it all is that batch bros quibble over variations in performance. Meanwhile, I'm about to scour this bilge before the Suederal and Ambermax ruin my night. "Out, damned spot," I say as I scrub this from my forearm.

Review of Cedrat Essence, a clone 26 June 24:
A much improved interpretation of Cedrat Boise. The leather is fresh and clean instead of musty and old. The cigarette ash tray note is gone. The sour vibe is gone. I tried this on in Chennai airport and was blown away by how much I loved this after I hated cedrat Boise so much I had to return it to Costco. The cashier processing my return of Cedrat Boise smelled it and she said "blach we sell this??" I love Light Blue but would take this bottle over that any day. I know this was a hype beast a year or two ago and I definitely see why.

Original review:
I wanted to add something mass appealing that wasn't BDC, ADG Profondo, or Sauvage. Lately I've been getting my fill from Dior Homme Sport 2021 and CDNIM EDP, but I figured this would be a good hype pickup since it was on sale at Costco. Unfortunately, this is surprised me in an overwhelming negative way.

The first sprays came out without needing to prime the bottle, and it reeked of drug store cheap cologne mixed with cigarettes. Another review said the cigarette smell would be reduced by spraying it only just-moisturized skin, and that seemed to help. I wore it a few more times and my most recent wearing was overly sweetened fruits with a heavy vanilla and that leather belt smell you get from the menswear section in a department store. It also left me with an incessantly runny nose and stuffy feeling while wearing it indoors.

I'm wearing Greenley as I write this review, which I personally consider a 10/10. Cedrat Boise? Unfortunately, this is going to be two thumbs down and a bleh face.

I am in love with Mancera scents. Do they smell better than anything out there? No.
Are they are ornately unique? No.

But for less than $100 you can have a long lasting 4oz nice frag and that lasts. With prices going up on so many goods all the time, Mancera is getting more affordable! Now, I don't expect those low prices to hold. And by the way, quality is not compromised.

There's a reason when this house is reviewed Cedart Boise is a must. Smells good! Musk and lemons!

Great on longevity and sillage ain't bad!

Won't break the bank to add this one!

Vivid lemon, juicy blackcurrant, and sweet jasmine on a base of smooth sandalwood and dry cedar.

As close to a perfect wear anywhere at any time fragrance as I can imagine.

Cedrat Boise is not Aventus, and this is a good thing. Cedrat Boise is more uplifting than Aventus, there is no pineapple, and the smoke in Aventus would get in the way of the smooth woods in CB.

CB is linear, which is a good thing, because nothing should change when something smells this good.

Longevity and projection are very good.

While it may share similarities with Aventus, it takes a unique direction by emphasizing fruity blackcurrant and musky vanilla notes. This unisex scent has a fairly linear profile and isn't as masculine as Aventus due to its focus on sweetness and fruitiness while minimizing smokiness. However, it doesn't cross the line into being overly sweet or feminine.

In contrast to Hacivat, which has a sour and citrusy profile, this fragrance highlights the juicy blackcurrant and adds creamy musky vanilla notes, resulting in a distinct scent profile. While the opening notes include a hint of lemon and bergamot, the pineapple note isn't as prominent as some might expect.

Performance-wise, it's moderate and lasts a workday but isn't a longevity powerhouse like Hacivat or Aventus. The scent isn't polarizing, making it a reasonable option for a blind-buy if you're willing to take the risk. However, it's always a wise decision to sample first.

Cedrat Boise by Mancera Review

Cedrat opens up with a nice lemon note. The lemon quickly leads into the black currant which is dominant throughout the opening.

The fruity opening leads into a powdery vanilla, cedar, and leather combination for the remainder of the wearing. It gives a woody/ashy smell to the dry down I absolutely can't get enough of it.

This is a wonderfully rich smell. Overall the fragrance is fairly linear.

This scent gets a lot of comparisons to Creed Aventus. They really aren't anything alike. They accomplish similar things, but in completely different ways. Appreciate, or hate, both of them for what they are.

The performance on this one is excellent. I use 1 spray for work and 2 sprays for everything else. It's incredibly versatile. I can see this being worn for any occasion or season. Be careful on the sprays though. This one is deceptively strong at times.
