Latest Reviews of Chinotto Dark
Abaton's website describes this as "a bitter-sweet delight," but there's nothing bittersweet about this delight. Rather, it's balanced so that the sweetness never veers into gourmand territory.
Chinotto—which flourishes in Savona, where Abaton is based—is a special citrus scent, not as sharply acidic as lemon or lime, but not as cloying as orange or neroli can sometimes get, and greener: something like key lime, but unique unto itself. The other notes add valuable dimension rather than darkness to Chinotto Dark, but it’s the chinotto that holds center stage throughout, and rightfully so.
A real beauty.
