Chrome Summer 2013

I'm not a fan of the original Chrome. it's a synthetic messy fragrance!
Quality and natural smelling is the main factor for me for choosing my fragrances.
This one is much much better than the original chrome in term of quality and smell. I'm not saying that this is a high quality and natural smelling fragrance but it's OK in these parts and it could be one of those fragrances that you can wear it casually in the high heat. specially if you want your fragrances fresh, tart, zesty and green all the way through without too much sweetness.

The opening of this fragrance is a crisp citrusy scent followed by aquatic and some green notes.
At the beginning I can smell grapefruit that has a tart and fresh feeling and there are other notes like salty aquatic notes and some green minty notes that all together creating a very bright fresh zesty scent.
The quality of the notes isn't that great but it's pleasant and there is nothing bad and offensive about it.
I can smell a little bit of lavender as well that fades away after about 5 minutes.
The mid smell very close to the opening but it's a little more green and at this part the scent has some woods and very weak, slightly sweet musk as well.
Projection is very strong for the first hour but it dies after that to a completely close to the skin scent and longevity is around 3-4 hours on my skin.
For around 30 bucks this is nice!

Good generic fragrance. When first sprayed it's a very familiar fragrance in the vein of L'eau D'issey and it's flankers. Little less floral but the similarities are there. Being that I enjoy wearing those, I also enjoy this one. As far as Chrome flankers go this one is not bad. I prefer Legend and the original to this, but it's pleasant. If your looking to buy a summer fragrance then you could do a lot worse. A good casual scent.Pros: Versatile.Cons: Generic. Issey Miyake does this type of fragrance better."

Like many scents, the opening is promising but the rest of the fragrance disappoints. As far as summer scents go, I've smelled much worse that were very harsh. I wouldn't call this one harsh but there is a sharp quality that seems to appear about 10 minutes in and never goes away. This is missing the sweetness and nuance I look for in my fragrances. I wish someone would create a summer scent that was more multi-dimensional.

I think the black tea in this makes all the difference, but you may have to wait for this frag to develop to get the full effect. A nice refined summer offering. I reviewed this on my YouTube channel as well, link in my profile.
