The company say:
A completely unexpected experience inspired by ingredients from regions where water and sky become one, Citron d'Erable is a warm, sunny fragrance where tangy notes of Sicilian lemon fade into the soft sweetness of maple syrup and blackcurrant over a woody base. The scent was inspired by the "Temps de Sucres", the tradition of collecting the sap of maple trees in the beautiful Great Lakes region. This warm, sunny fragrance is exclusive to Sephora Canada. It provides the freshness and elegance of a cologne, but is designed to provide lasting fragrance on the skin.

Latest Reviews of Citron d'Erable
Lemon, maple, and syrup - simple but perfect. The smoky caramel sweetness reminds me of Christmas and winter time. I appreciate how well the cedar and maple syrup sweetness are balanced. The performance is decent and the longevity is mediocre. However, this is one of my favorites from Atelier Cologne and is perfect for fall, and possibly winter.
Lemon pancakes with maple syrup! Out of the gate it comes off as very gourmand. If anything I would remove pancake, and replace it with lemon white cake. The eucalyptus and blackcurrent keep the scent very light, but I want to chew on my arm that seems like a mouthwatering cake. This may be considered unisex, but this seems more feminine to me. Whoever wears this better stay away from hungry people, as most certainly they will be eaten. As the woods at the bottom arrive, it warms up the cake to a more pancake result.

The very opening of it is balsamic like a lemon that has begun to rot. Then it evolves quickly to a very acid, true, spot-on and crisp lemon. It's got a powdery bitterness behind it. Truly unisex, with good sillage and longevity.
I tested it with Ambre des Merveilles on the other wrist and they complement each other well.

Citron d'Erable has a citrus opening with some chalky-bitterness. Eucalyptus gives it an airy quality. I'm not getting much maple syrup but there is a heavier note in the drydown that has that maple syrup vibe, almost as if you got some on your hands and already washed but can still smell something left of it.
For me this leans feminine. I don't find it pleasing or sexy.

This has a very lemony opening. Then, a light woody-birch tang settles in. Crisp, refreshing. The wood tones are light and breezy. Don't be put off by -- or expect -- a rich maple syrup/foody scent. That is not what you will find here. A light summer scent, not a fall or winter scenario with sugaring-off, lumberjacks and pancakes.
