Calvin Klein CK One Summer 2016 is one of the better iterations of the CK One Summer collection. I regard is a sort of sweet palm with mixed citruses and other fruit. Its note listing includes a mojito accord, which contrasts it from the more margarita-like vibe of its 2014 counterpart, and certainly the execution on 2016 isn't quite as pleasant as 2014, but 2016 still does give the tropical cocktail vibe, to put it crudely, while not veering off in an overly synthetic direction at any one point. Like 2014, it's good, not great, but certainly quite good for the money, as it's been available in its standard 100ml size for $20 at times, surely a bargain if there are qualms over the quality. The 2017-19 version are available on FragranceNet currently for such prices, though I expect the earlier versions like 2016 and especially 2014 might start demanding higher prices. Certainly a fun try and worth tracking down for the right price, but otherwise replicable via other options in a similar sweet fruity fresh category that's fairly ubiquitous. I've 2018 and 2014 as well, with 2014 being my favorite and 2018 being roughly on par with 2016.

Wow...I bought this for $20, but I'm still disappointed! Doesn't last but a few minutes on my skin, and it's not really very interesting. Oh well....You win some, you lose some.... :)

To me, this is better than 2013, but not as good as 2014. They are all very different. (Haven't smelled 2015)

CK One Summer 2016, is very citrusy, very fresh, very uplifting. If you live in a climate like Florida where it's humid, you won't go unnoticed wearing this. Even though it may seem boring to us aficionado's who are used to expecting so much more from our fragrances.

Mojito accord? Hmm, not so much. I do get a blast of lemon and guava in the opening, yes I can actually smell guava. It pretty much dries down to nothing though, and it doesn't last for more than 2 hours. So I can't give it a thumbs up, because performance is lacking. But, if somebody gets a whiff of you in the first 30 minutes, they will love it! At least in my world. I notice citrus and aquatics render far more compliments than any other genre, at least here in Florida.

Sillage is pretty good, again just in the first half hour, after that, expect a light bubble around you, maybe somebody will smell you in arms reach.

The bottle is awesome on this! it has a palmetto or palm tree leaf engraved into the back of the bottle. Out of the 3 Summer bottles I currently own, this one is by far the best (bottle design, not scent).

I am a fan of the summer series - they are cheap, fun, fresh and not to be taken too seriously. I love spraying them on after a shower if I'm staying home on a summer evening. However, I am disappointed in this 2016 release. It smells almost identical to 2014 and yet lasts for about 20 mins and has no performance at all. Save your money and pick up the 2014 edition instead (it's still available at discounters and at a very good price).
