To me, Byredo is a mediocre brand, they make ok, trendy scents that i dont really care for. Such is the case with this one. Its a weirdo, at first i smelled a metallic musky grape soda. As i wore it each second or third day, i noticed the herbal side, the musky and the slight incense side. On the drydown it reminds me of Le Labo's Gaiac 10. On to the next one...

This is definitely one to try if you like sage and palo santo....that's pretty much all I smell, after the impression of hay in the first few minutes. There's maybe tiny hints of frankincense and iris but A LOT of sage and that sweet-woody palo santo type scent. The sillage is moderate, and longevity is decent.

Dry dusty hay/grass, sage, medicinal tea. I occasionally get the creamy/minty palo santo base and some earthy notes. The plum note is tangy, fruity, just barely sweet note that I really like (for someone not usually interested in fruity scents). You have to really like herbal/sage notes to like this one, thankfully I do. My only issue is the drydown is full of ambroxan which becomes sickly to me but the opening is so lovely. I see a romantic depiction of the chaparral hills in Southern California, around LA. I think this is one of the better Byredo releases so far.

This doesn’t smell like a perfume or a cologne. It smells so strongly of sage that it made me think of an herbal remedy my grandfather made when he has a cold. It’s not good at all
