My review is for a miniature bottle of the EDP. It is less than a year old.

The first note of Deep Euphoria is cascalone. For those of you who don't know, a cascalone is a giant watery raspberry that cleans windows and bathrooms. It's not entirely unpleasant. It demands all of your attention for about ten minutes, and then it takes a nap.

Once the cascalone dissipates I can smell the edges of something very similar to the original Euphoria, and I'm not mad about it. But what I don't smell at all is rose, and I *am* mad about that. When the fragrance pyramid lists a note called Black Magic Rose it's hard not to get your hopes up! Maybe it... disappeared... (sorry, couldn't resist.)

Deep Euphoria is pleasant but unremarkable. The other fragrances in the fruity flanker flock will welcome it happily. In fact, it will undoubtedly become the best frenemy of Black Opium because they smell verrrrrry much alike in spite of the fact that the only official note they share is patchouli.

TL;DR: Deep Euphoria is Black Opium with a little soap and no vanilla.

Spiced water, like a fragrant bathwater at a spa. Mixed leaf accord, as if in a greenhouse that's packed with un-bloomed flowers and plants. Intriguing, for me. I'm not familiar with original Euphoria so, I cannot compare.

The rose here is confusing to my nose. It smells more like orchid. Could it be the note combination? That stated, I'm diggin' this designer perfume so far.

I think the base notes seep up into the heart, creating what I "think" is orchid that I smell here. At any rate, I am alone here - I like this fragrance. It becomes more "perfumey" later, reminding me of something from the 70s. It becomes old-fashioned, to me, in a sense. I, like it.

I'm not familiar with Euphoria so can't compare the two. I did read reviews and some prefer the original to Deep Euphoria and vice versa. But from Euphoria's notes, I'm sure I'd perfer that one. All I get in this one is strong patchouli. I wish the musk was stronger. It's just not a well blended fragrance in my opinion. It's a disappointment but it makes a base for layering with something else, if you aren't adverse to patchouli. I'm using a sweet cherry scent and it's not bad. But I don't recommend Deep Euphoria.

Flankermania strikes again-- this time in the now-familiar Euphoria bottle.

Since it's called Deep Euphoria, you might reasonably expect it to be similar to the original, but deeper. Silly you, expecting words to mean what they mean.

No, this flanker isn't deep at all, much less a deeper version of its namesake. Instead, it is a blend of blends. Start with a "berry" blend, add a floral/musk blend and round it out with a sanitized patchouli blend at the base. Reminds me of a weaker Gucci Premiere, which I wore for a few months in a (failed) attempt to modernize my fragrance wardrobe.

It would have garnered a neutral rating if not for the misleading name. I'm grumpy that way.
