Annick Menardo does some great things - when she has the chance.
But - presumably to keep her job and pay the bills - she also turns out pot boilers.
This chemical dross is one of the latter.

To give an idea where this review comes from. I use Diptyque's "Olene" in rainy weather as it's perfect for those rainy blues-days.
Eden is xcellentt perfume on a chilly, bit of sun, bit of rain and lots of clouds over London giving out steely white-blueish light. Spring starting. Eden contains a durable warmth and a promise of those warm summers that's stayed in mind. There is something among the middle-notes in "Eden" which smells baked (butterly :-) I can't believe it's not!) All sorts of flowers whizzing around first minutes before they get the act together. Drydown of it is a slow fading departure which is a reminder for me to freshen up and do something else. E.g. sod the spring-sentimentality and turn on the efficency of e.g. Jacomo's "Paradox."

Floral aquatic, airy and fresh, based over a notable amount of fruits and flowers among which we detect the ethereal rose. The base is woody and musky after a sweet, bit ozonic beginning. It's a bit kind of toilette foam one. Nice summer scent for teens. Good longevity.

The green faded quickly, leaving flat lily-of-the-valley and peach. It would be a nice smell for laundry or cleaning products used in a chain hotel.I received this as a gift from my then-fiance, chosen by his mother and sister. Too bad I didn't recognise that it fully conveyed what they were looking for in a wife for him: nondescript, no stamina, unobtrusive, submissive.

I'll never consider buying this fragrance. It's the cheaper version of Estee Lauder's Pleasures. This one has no personality and no staying power. It doesn't leave an impression.
