The blurb: “A fragrance of positivity and reflection. Its beginning is uplifting with energetic and dancing citrus tones that take you away from the everyday, yet it's true beauty lies in its calm and muted musky dry down that will leave your soul hankering for more. Imagine the unleashed energy of a full-blooded Boadicean assault, concentrated and captured in a beautiful bottle. This is a fragrance unbridled dynamism brimming with crisp citrus sparkle and delight. Yet beyond the immediate rush of orange and grapefruit lies a more measured mood, brought on by base notes of sensuous musk and the woody earthiness of vetiver. If ever there was a perfume to awaken and rejuvenate mind, body and soul and keep them at their most refreshed, this is it. This is Energizer.”

Review. Give me a break. It's citrus over (purportedly) vetiver and musk. I like this sort of thing, and I like this one. But, is it remarkable of its well-represented ilk? Not by me. I would think "energetic and dancing citrus tones" would play more with the bracing acidic aspects of citrus. However, after a brief burst of grapefruit at the top, Energizer settles into an amiable but not terribly energizing orange. I'm not sure vetiver and musk appear anywhere but the pyramid. So, it has a good orange note, but what little thought went into this doesn't justify paying a niche price for it.

Note: The BN directory has this and several other Boadicea fragrances categorized as feminine (and a few others as masculine), but BtV advertises its entire line as gender neutral, which surely applies to this eau de cologne-style fragrance.

Opens very fresh, zesty and sweet. The grapefruit is leading but there is a whole lot of citrus goodness radiating off the skin. A base composed of vetiver and white musk is enveloping the citruses, creating an aromatic aroma. It's a nice energizing perfume.

Tart/zingy citrus assault with grapefruit/lemon leading the charge-green background with a hint of something minty and fresh-very, very natural smelling-smells like a fresh citrus cornucopia with some aromatic greenery strewn around-yes, it does bring to mind a dozen other citrus scents, with Xerjoff 1861 and Fiero coming to mind-due to the commonality of the exquisite blending and seeming quality of ingredients and the combo of citrus and greenery -I don't get any of the synthetic vibe I get from a lot of designer scents-this smells very natural and real-just like Xerjoff citruses this one has pretty decent projection and hangs around for a good while-get whiffs drifting up of different citrus tones-a little lime/orange now and then-a refreshing bitter/tart citrus-not a sweet fragrance--all occasion-probably office friendly but I would find this most enjoyable on a day off hanging around a BBQ or walking in the great outdoors-a sophisticated classy citrus-I like this one a lot...IMHO FBW Green Aromatic Citrus

Am I the only to notice that this smells almost exactly like T for Him by Tommy Hilfiger? They are both good, but no need to fork out cash for the Boadicea when you can have T for Him that does the same job.

Energizer is a bracing citric-aromatic fragrance that strikes over a tart chord of minty conifer's  resins, aqueous hesperides and angular grapefruit. The smell is pleasant, a bit eau de cologne kind and basically aromatic-lemony. The background is woodsy and musky with  undertones of fluidy vetiver and grapefruit. Distinguished, conservative and summery. Lasting power and projection are good.

An explosion of citruses (the whole range) lead by a prominent, kinda aromatic, grapefruit note. Bitter green hints trhoguhout appearing on a clean musky/vetiver base. Definitely an unisex summer scent that while it's not particularly outstanding (Hermes Eau D'Orange Verte is a much cheaper alternative), it's well crafted and refined. Good lasting power.
