In Estate, Neuffer essentially does for lavender what she did for vetiver with Blue in Green. Which is to say, she takes tradition and makes it both more elevated and more personal.

Although vetiver is a player here, as is the more noticeable orris, the stars are the Provençal lavender, of course, topped by an herbal melange in which peppermint stands out most for the additional edge it gives to the lavender, leading to the ambergris and hinoki in the base, with everything else in a supporting role. The result is dry, airy, bright, and chalky, rich in subtle complexity.

This is how one might smell after a shave in the world's costliest barbershop. Still, you needn't grow whiskers to appreciate it.
