Have you set sail on an amber quest? Don't forget to take a ride in Auphorie's Eternal Voyage, which presents the piney, smoky, vanillic labdanum that is at the heart of the amber accord to beautiful effect. While retaining the richness associated with this family, there is a brightness and lightness of touch that is often missing from many ambers. This one dances.
I keep getting wafts of a sweet green herbal scent in the mix, reminiscent of newly flowering lavender - and its good mate tonka is there too lending further pleasantness and a hint of powder. So far so lively. Spices here are cleverly tucked into a supporting role – present and butch when sniffed close to the skin, but unobtrusive in the throw of the perfume. The overall impression is of a lively amber kissed by a fougère.
Staying power is a bit disappointing for an amber – I was reaching to refresh every four hours.

An oil-based perfume that takes some time to dry. Prominently featuring Labdanum, rose and sandalwood. A sweet/woody oriental that is at once comforting and enervating. Just one spray was quite strong so it appears to have good silage and lasting capabilities. A winner in my estimation. I perceive the animalic notes more as myrrh rather than civit and castoreum. It feels more rounded than animalic to me.

Starts with a creamy muted coconut and brown sugar vanilla and then a hint of rose and spices. it is not as sweet as gourmandy as notes suggest. After few minutes lavender powder(Tonka?) takes over. I don't see lavender listed in the notes but it is prominent.
And then comes the drydown - the beginning of drydown is perhaps the best ..ever.
It is in the style of Guerlain but better. Guerlain should take notes.
But that does not last for more than 30 mins and then it gets sweeter and thinner. Still great but those 30 mins are amazing. Lavendar/tonka/sandal/vanilla singing in perfect harmony. Wish this accord could last longer.

I don't get any animalics.
