EVERMORE (Bourbon French)

Evermore is a soft, refined and restrained scent that could as easily be worn by a man as by a woman. It is centered on the voluptuous sweetness of the Asian Plum Blossom, encircled by the Madagascar jasmine, Stephanotis. A very spare use of oud and sandalwood anchors the scent, but does not intrude upon it.

This is an olfactory delight to my nose, not least because it is the first time I have inhaled the two florals. They combine beautifully, providing a very slight sweetness plus a serious depth, taking me back to the first half of the last century when great floral bouquets were produced by the premier houses of France.

It is worn close to the skin, emanating naturally, as if one brushed against a bridal bouquet (Stephanotis has been an historical component of many of these), and as such, seems the perfect wedding gift.
