It’s good, but it’s a weird one. Odd ball in nature. I will say a combination of 50% Carbon, 30% Mizyaan and 20% Oudesire. Although that stunning flacon is purplish blue in hue and cannot be seen through, even under a very bright light source, Evoke Midnight Edition IS NOT blue in smell. This is hardly blue. It’s pink, and purple, and green and black.

This is a fruity, powdery, strong leathery (saffron), dark, raspberry violet patchouli with a touch of oud in the base. Oud is not listed and I love when Ajmal does this, I can smell agarwood clear as day (night) from the moment it’s atomized well into the far dry down 12 hours later, especially on the skin. My mom commented on the overall aroma as ‘offensive’. She hates oud by the way and will know immediately if I’m wearing anything containing agarwood.

Note that sellers are seriously gouging asking prices on this due to scarcity and that Midnight Edition is pretty much impossible to find. It’s continually sold out everywhere over seas. The price is around 90 AED, or approximately $25 USD. I found one priced decently in that price range. It should last me the rest of my life as I’ll rarely wear this. It’s strange, and very different from anything I’ve ever experienced from Ajmal. I personally like this a lot but have no idea where to wear it. Not a versatile scent in the least, and it’s quite loud with a beautiful oud dry down, especially after 12 hours. Anything after this and it’s lots and lots of oud everywhere. 18 hours later and the skin scent is intoxicating. I’m just not too crazy about the head and heart notes although, the dry down on this is definitely killer.
