Instantly get a blast of cinnamon, along with some cardamom that tempers the spiciness a bit, keeps the cinnamon from being too much, blended nicely together. When it gets to the heart, I notice the carrot note, smells like a spicy carrot cake. The ginger and orris along with the carrot goes lovely together. Reminded me of the carrot cake my mom would make every year on my dad’s birthday. Somehow makes me feel warm, nostalgic, and cozy all at once. Perfect for the colder months and will definitely be my scent of the day on Thanksgiving

Big Red gum meets iris root at the beginning, then Big Red gum pedaled to the metal for the rest of the life of the perfume—which is long and linear. But, like the gum, once you chew out the good stuff, all you're left with is cardboard.

The price adds insult to the injury of being a pretty mundane spicy floral, so if you like perfumes heavy on cinnamon or carnation, you can get Knize Ten or CdG's Series 2 Red Carnation for half to a third of the price, or Caron's still-well-preserved Tabac Blond for about the same—and all with more complexity to boot.

This fragrance is an orris bomb with a spicy twist from cinnamon. While the cinnamon becomes less prominent in the drydown, it still leaves a warm iris scent. As someone who isn't the biggest fan of iris fragrances, I find this to be a good option for those who enjoy that note. If you've found other iris fragrances to smell too much like lipstick, this may be a suitable alternative. The performance of this fragrance is great, and it has a decent projection.
