Bourbon French – Festival
Described simply as a fruity floral, with no particular segregated notes provided, Festival opens with a blast of unctuous gardenia, sharply underscored with muguet (lily of the valley), two quite opposite floral experiences. The gardenia quickly fades, leaving just the muguet. I wait in vain for another floral or a fruit to appear, but alas.
My spouse finds it overly sweet and murky with an orange peel note, like a blender filled with candy and milk, a scrubber for him.
For me, it is pure muguet, nothing else. Since the house already has a decent muguet soliflore, why mask it again with a cleverly bright name? I can only give this a neutral rating, due to repetition and lack of creativity.
