That at first sniff

At first I'd like to say

Some magic spell
That works too well
And crafty pleasure brings

Cool bergamot
Ain't so damn hot
But neither does it suck

Said citric haze
Through skillful ways
Brings texture, smiles and luck

For synthy wood
Doth smell quite good
In Hesperids' melange

It matters not
Those gals forgot
To bring the white orange

No whalewood spall
Nor limbanol
Felt through its silky gauze

Not nature's build
Yet count me thrilled
At craft which heeds its laws

But number three

These so-called sugared musks

Angelic, quite
Their sweet delight
Like Bleu Parisian dusks

I will admit
It smells a bit
Like Bath & Body Gal

But let's be true
I've known a few
At levels more than pal

It's quite discreet
This scent so sweet
Of maltolicious 'mance

'Twill ro' your boat
Keep love afloat
Without a drop of pants

The whole affair
To say I dare
Lasts legendary long

Yet aweful scrub
Allows a sub
Should Day Two strike you wrong

Bouquet floral
Quite fit for all
Another scent got right

These fragrant two
Together new
A story seem to tell

And if they do
'Tween me and you
Then sure, I wish them well

But back to First
This ain't the worst
Among my true blind buys

I'll recommend
This fragrant blend
To both the girls and guys

First Sight is one of the more recent men’s releases from Bath and Body Works, designed as a wedding-themed option that’s paired with a women’s, Dressed in White, that smells quite different. First Sight, as B&BW employees have openly stated, smells a bit like MFK BR540 but for me, it’s a much more pared down, thinner, fresher, more agreeable alternative to even the original BR540 EDP (or, frankly, the clones that it inspired). It’s described has having primary notes of soft bergamot, rich woods, and sugared musk, and a sort of sugary fresh musky citric experience is very much what I get out of it.

Priced at $60 for 100ml at full retail, but sometimes available at 50% off, it’s a perfectly nice cheapie option at $30. It performs moderately but not particularly well, which is a nod to those that do not want to be overwhelmed or like being able to over spray a bit.
