Latest Reviews of Flores Mediterráneas : Bosque de Primavera
Fig leaves, clear tangerine and musky woods steer this eau de cologne away from conventional. Super fruity and fun, can become elusive so make sure to spray on clothes to get lingering fruit.
Another great offering from this line interpreting classic eau de cologne/toilette with a fruity-woods spin. The most fruit laden of the Flores line, it's bright and summery offering whose woods base steers it from not being overtly gourmand.
The notes listed here are not quite what I smell, and have seen others list it as follows:
Top notes: Tangerine and Italian Bergamot
Middle notes: Fig, Jasmine and Lilac
Base notes: Orange Blossom and Cedar
Sticky citrus, fig (fruit and leaves) and fresh "woods" dominate this to my nose.
The mandarin/tangerine is very pronounced with that tangy element that sets their juice separately from a general sweet orange's. The bergamot, fig fruit and leaves add a slightly boozy, resinous element they're known for, cushioned by a fresh "woodsy" skin scent (combination of the orange blossom, cedar and probably patchouli) familiar from a lot of men's colognes. This skews it more stereotypically masculine and perhaps one of the most so in the line. Some might describe it as smelling of a citrus sangria or a mixed juice drink with earthy bitters. Overall really delicious, but tends to quickly fade from my nose, but apparently it does linger and casts a decent sillage according to others.
Finally, despite the categorization it is totally unisex (like most of this line) and as a super summery and fun offering made from what I can tell are quality ingredients, it's pretty unbeatable with it's affordable price.
