As I sample the entire Flores Mediterraneas line (briefly under a different profile for whatever reason) Magnolia Blanca is intriguing that Alvarez Gomez calls this scent white...because it's quite green. My bottle may have been slightly stagnant so it might be sharper than usual (and requires an eventual second purchase to double check) but this scent bursts to life with perhaps the sharpest and strongest opening out of all the line that I've tried, with sharp petitgran and aldehydes. That opening and then the musky white flowered skin-scent that follows seems to hearken back to 1960s perfumes and the refined Jacky-O style "polished" powerhouses of the era. It also steers this one somewhat masculine reminding me slightly of Guerlain's Vetiver. Compared to the similarly white flower themed Jazmín de Noche in the line which is much much sweeter with that heady sweet jasmine note, Magnolia Blanca is colder and more cologne-like. Like most of the line it tends to vanish after creating a strong cloud.
