Romantic and decadent rose-patchouli with and incredibly visceral enveloping pheromonal embrace. Gipsy Queen, a fragrance dedicated to the lyrical atmospheres of the Bizet's "Carmen", is a reputable example of indolent oily-hesperidic, floral, superbly peppery and animalic patchouli. The latter appears by soon luxurious, languid, greasy, herbal and "beastly". The pheromonal encompassing power is plain and perfectly fitting to the oily-vegetal general ambience. I detect by soon a complex herbal-rooty-citric-sharply spicy atmosphere which is the prelude to a carnal rose-tuberose-patchouli so piquant and "molecular". The floral-herbal impact is somewhat wild and almost tropical. The rose-tuberose-hesperidic accord produces a sort of dirty and edible/fleshy (peppery-orangy-lemony-herbal-woody) seasoned undertone. I detect a sort of sad lyric general decadent atmosphere, something like the crying of love by a refused damosel. The dry down is mysterious and melancholic like a magic violin melody dancing out in the nineteenth-century parisian night.
