The fragrance features sweet orange, tangerine, grapefruit blossom, verbena, clove, Napolitano cake, Stargazer lily, Sambac jasmine, vanilla bean, Jacaranda wood, sandalwood and amber...or at least, that's the description given by Fragrantica.

I however, get a quick, sweet blast of citrus that fades into a clean scent very much like a much fainter Jean Paul Gaultier Classique. It is very well done and appealing but...not what I was expecting.

I get NO spice, NO cake, NO vanilla, NO sugar. The overall freshness makes this seems to be a spring/summer scent.

If you like this, you should try:

Always been on the fence about this one. Works divine in winter and smells like a sweet, freshly baked orange spice cake.

I cannot stand citrus, which is probably what turns this review so neutral. Hidden is different. You won't find a celebrity perfume like this one. Which I appreciate.

I have tried this perfume from the tester bottles in stores a few times now, and, remarkably, I never clearly remember what it smelled like later! :D So, I bought a small sample to try at home so I can actually review it!
It turns out there's a reason I never find this one to be a particularly memorable scent! It's just a scent I never find particularly interesting or exciting in any way. It has some really nice citrus in the top notes, which I always appreciate! But, it's not really a lot of noticeable citrus, and those notes fade out fast! Which, again, is unfortunate because I'm not crazy about the actual heart of the fragrance. It's a scent that I don't mind the smell of for a brief period of time, but I definitely get tired of smelling it if it surrounds me all day, which is exactly how I feel about the original Fantasy perfume as well. There are other scents that are very similar to "Hidden Fantasy" as well, like "Poppy" by Coach, and I feel exactly the same way about that perfume! I find I like it and it smells nice for a bit, then I get tired of smelling it! I do find that I actually receive nice compliments from other (sometimes) when I wear these kinds of perfumes, but if I get tired of smelling it then I can't wear it.
Another thing I want to add is that the actual heart and base of this perfume smells almost exactly like a box of pastries or chocolates! So, if you are looking for a perfume like that, then this one might really be for you, and you should definitely try it! If that's really not your thing, you should stay away from this one!

A sweet mandarin mixes with verbena in the opening, with hints of spiciness and a sweet aroma that reminds me a bit of a pastry shop. It develops very nicely on my skin and is soon followed by a jasmine-based drydown. Synthetic, of course, but not without its original twist. The base consists of the usual woodsy/pseudo-ambery/ vanilla triad and is the least impressive part of this creation, although I have seen and smelt much worse specimen.

With all its sweet components it is surprisingly not cloying on me and quite plant overall. I get moderate sillage, adequate projection and seven hours of longevity in this nice spring scent. Overall it is not without its weaknesses, but is never too intrusive and on me deserves a positive score - but only just. 3/5

As a fan of Britney's fragrances I was eager to try this. The first initial spray is definitely sweet and orangey then it starts to smell slightly similiar to the original Fantasy. I would describe the scent as being similiar to an orange poppy seed cake.

I don't dislike the scent, but there was something about Hidden Fantasy that didn't blend well with my skin chemistry. I was really disappointed that I wouldn't be adding the red bottle to the pink and blue bottles I have.

The scent is long-lasting with about the same amount of sillage as Fantasy. I'll be interested to smell this on other people because I'm sure this fragrance will become another best-seller from Britney's perfume line.

Hidden Fantasy is a High School Vixen who seduces all
the boys with her Feminine wiles and leaves them dry
after all that hot love making in a steamy backseat of
a car after when that is all finished she dumps you
and goes for her next prey, The opening starts off nice
and innocent with orange plump tangerine and virginal
Lemon Verbena, then under all that good girl persona
things start to get a bit naughty with the sweet and
decadent note of Napolitano steeps with it's libertine
sexiness dries off with a dark earthiness of clove.

Delicate airiness of lily opens the middle heart with it's spiciness accord powdery note of vanilla mingles
with lily giving it an cloying drydown strangely enough
i don't detect any wood notes but maybe it's drowned
out from the domineering note of amber give it a warm
seduction and ends with dry sandalwood giving it an
deep and esoteric nuance.
