Latest Reviews of High Line
I tend not to bother with Bond No 9 offerings; they seem more form than function, focusing more on blinged-up bottles and lifestyle promise designed to part fools with their money than on the compositions themselves. But from time to time, their rather cute sample bonbons wrapped in glittering tinfoil fall into my lap… and I never could resist sweeties.
So to High Line, which is a hilarious (for the bucks being asked), utterly synthetic and generic, aquatic herbal (as in watery thyme) green' scent. Headache territory for me, but fortunately it isn't a blaster which is the kindest thing I can say about it. This gets an F for effort and conjures up mental images of the folks at Bond No 9 decanting it into their purty likkle bottles from plastic gallon jars sourced at some discounter's basement.

I bought this at a discount (online), wore it once and gave it to my wife. She really likes it, but it's TOO GREEN AND FLORAL for me.

While I like Highline, it is indistinguishable of many other aquatic florals that are much cheaper. Additionally, it reminds me of hairspray at first application. It smells strongly of alcohol then followed by aquatic notes upon dry down. It's light and doesn't last long on my skin.
Pleasant enough, but not memorable.

cleand fresh, unisex floral..tulip / rose mainly..fresh and uncoplicated got stopped on the street to be asked what I was wearing...this!
A grassy bergamot gives a green freshness to the beginning and makes for a pleasant and summery opening. There are aldehydic and ozonic notes in the background. In the drydown floral notes, mainly tulip with a dash of rose. Later in the base an oakwood notes is overshadowed by a musky component. The top notes are very nice, but after that a generic designer feel at a mediocre level prevails. Good silage and projection with five hours of longevity on my skin. Soft, gentle and nothing exciting in spite of a great underlying concept.
To each his or her own. I enjoy this tremendously. Whenever I wear High Line I never fail to get lots of compliments. They are great compliments too, not the "Your perfume smells good." but "You smell fantastic!"
I do see the shampoo reference but I find it fleeting and not one that I mind too terribly.
Excellent Spring or warm weather scent, not overly green or overly floral….it's just right.
