Aqua Allegoria Forte Nerolia Vetiver by Guerlain
Very figgy, get a bit of Neroli but hardly any Vetiver. It's OK but I wouldn't buy this, I was hoping the vetiver would be prominent I this but its quite jammy.Linen shirt strolling around an old town in Majorca on a summers evening is where this scent belongs.
Sculpture Homme by Nikos
Ah this takes me back! 90's clubland fragrance.Yes it brings back great memories but the fragrance is still wonderful today, one of those that has disappeared and is barely mentioned today.
It is borderline gourmand and the vanilla is noticeable. I think I paid £25 for 100ml, thats a steal.
I guess it'll be a blind buy for most as its not easy to find in the shops.
If you like your smellies on the sweet side then take a chance.

Tres Nuit by Armaf
Armaf does it again, it's not as creamy smooth as GIT but I don't notice that much difference. Certainly not enough to pay the extra for the Creed. The link to Cool Water is there buy not for long, and I like Cool water anyway.
Another lovely scent that presents excellent value for money.
I have Tres Nuit, Milestone and Club de nuit and all of which are great fragrances. Armaf is definitely one the best perfume houses when it comes to longevity and value for money 👍👍
Club de Nuit Milestone by Armaf
Very close to MI and even though Armaf look to copy what Creed create I actually find the longevity and strength to be superior in the Armaf products. It's salty ozonic and fruity. The ambergris and watermelon is really prominent, perfect summer daytime scent.
Off topic but how do Basenotes give a 3.9 when every review is a thumbs up??
Indonesian Oud by Ermenegildo Zegna
Let's make it simple. I don't understand people that don't like oud posting reviews on an oud based perfume, guess what, you won't like it because its got oud in it.Yes there are lots of rose/oud perfumes out there and for me Zegna's take is the best balance out there. Its dense, its thick and has excellent longevity.
I'm not fussed if it's a crowd pleaser, it smells beautiful. Enjoy!
Hero Eau de Parfum by Burberry
I thought I sprayed Million by Paco Rabanne. Very sweet and so similar to Only The Brave by Diesel which is a fraction of the cost. When these sweet nightclub scents came out most of us were raving over them. For me they're just a bit generic now. But a thumbs up as it's not a bad smell, just been done before
Cool Water by Davidoff
If you don't like it, then you don't like it. Cool water could easily be sold at 5 times the price under a different name by a different house and it would fly off the shelves. A wonderful summer fragrance, has a happiness about it and makes me feel good. I first wore it in my teens, 30 years on and I still enjoy it.It's had many comparisons to Green Irish Tweed for good reason. They are different but share a similar DNA . Cool Water can be picked at such a reasonable price that it's a no brainer to put one in your wash bag.
Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel by Molton Brown
Salty, ozonic, mineral scent. All in a good way. Sitting by a British seafront with the waves crashing in and the wind swirling around you. I find this very evocative.I'm convinced that when in this environment those nearest you would assume its just the natural smell in the air. Really lovely.
Amber Aoud Absolue Précieux by Roja Dove
Absolute perfection, first spray I thought it was just way too intense, almost made me nauseous. So I only do 1 each side now as it lasts and lasts. The complexity is amazing, I get wafts of mineral ambergris then a sweet oud and a lovely amber note. Yep it's really expensive, not sure any scent is worth the asking price, but it's magnificent. From similar scents I've purchased I only rate ombre nomade LV, and Jubilation xxv in the same category.Spiritueuse Double Vanille by Guerlain
I think SDV is possibly my favourite fragrance to date. For me it's definitely unisex, and yes as the name suggests it's heavily focused on vanilla but there's so much going on.Everytime I get a waft of it I just feel so good, induces happiness.
Absolutely wonderful.
Encre Noire Sport by Lalique
Really like this. The inky note that is mentioned frequently is a great way to describe it. Personally I love the grapefruit/citrus opening. Perfect for the gym or a nice woodland walk on a fresh crisp morning. For me the drydown has nuances of L'eau Dissey pour homme, I love that too.Jubilation XXV Man by Amouage
Glorious! There's something very special about this. It's just the perfect blend and quite rightly has other reviews suggesting it's fit for a king. Get a real feel good feeling with this one.Oud 24 Hours by Ard Al Zafraan
BOOM!!!! Bang for your buck! I love Black Orchid and I'd happily buy it again if Oud 24 hours didn't have the depth or longevity. But it does, maybe a dog could discern the difference but this just seems to have come off the same factory line.As you can tell I'm quite into this, £15 with deodorant....... I mean it literally is a bargain.
I hope you hear of this gem and don't be afraid to blind but if you're into TFBO
Explorer by Montblanc
A clear attempt to be similar to Aventus at a cheaper price. Not very good, projection and longevity were poor on me. When you have fragrances like Club de Nuit which perform better in every respect at a similar price it's hard to see why you'd buy this. You like what you like, and this isn't for me
Dunhill Edition by Dunhill
I love this! Heavy clove from the start, which is a bit overwhelming but the dry down is creamy, soapy. I really get the vetiver/sandalwood connection. It's a clean summer scent for me. Some 25 years ago I had this as a teenager, loved it then, love it now. I got 100ml with aftershave balm and shower gel for £20.You'd struggle to get a quality fragrance with those accompaniments for that price anywhere.
If you love vetiver fragrances, give it a go 👍
