How can I delete my account?

Once an account is deleted we are unable to reverse the deletion. To reiterate: Once your account is deleted you are unable to get it back

To request for an account deletion, you must log into your account and visit this page here.

Once you have confirmed your account deletion, you will be logged out. If you log back into the site within seven days you will have the option to cancel the scheduled deletion.

If you do not cancel the deletion, your account will be deleted in seven days of your request.

It is Basenotes policy not to delete posts and comments when an account is deleted, as it breaks the flow of conversation of other users. Once your account is deleted your username will be changed to ‘deleted user’
