Status updates are short (up to 420 characters) message that you can post to your profile, sharing your current thoughts. Other members can reply or react to your updates. You can add a status update, by going to your profile.
Profile messages are public messages that you can write on another member’s profile – you may wish to wish them a happy birthday, or congratulate them on an awesome post. If you wish to speak to another member privately you can use the conversation feature.
If you wish to adjust who can post on your profile page, you can do so in the Privacy settings. You can choose between allowing any member to post on your page, just people you follow, or to allow no-one to post on your profile.
