Yesterday, Chicken-based fast-food chain, KFC launched a perfume, No. 11 Eau de BBQ, which sold out on the same day. The limited-edition scent, launched to coincide with the new Ultimate BBQ Burger, contains “smoky wood and charcoal notes that embodies the essence of a classic BBQ experience“
Phoebe Syms, Brand Manager at KFC UK & Ireland, said, “At KFC, we’re known for thinking outside the burger box. No 11 Eau de BBQ captures the irresistible scent of our Ultimate BBQ Burger, allowing you to sizzle with every spritz. It’s a must-have for die-hard KFC and BBQ enthusiasts who believe fragrance can be finger lickin’ good.”
The limited-edition scent comes in a 100ml bottle and is available for just £11 with 100% of proceeds going to The KFC Foundation, supporting grassroots organisations across the country that are empowering young people to unleash their potential and build a positive future.
KFC are by no means not the first fast-food emporium to use scent as a promotional item. Burger King launched a meaty scent in 2008, Pizza Hut launched a scent 2012, and White Castle launched a slider themed candle in 2014.
For those craving a chance for another bite of getting hold of this Colonel Cologne, the company say “keep an eye out on 7th May for a second spritz” – See more on the KFC UK website.
