Model, Bella Hadid, who has previously fronted perfume campaigns for Versace Dylan Blue and Bulgari Goldea, is about to launch her own perfume brand – ‘Ôrəbella.
“For me, fragrance has always been at the center of my life—helping me feel in charge of who I am and my surroundings” says Hadid, “From my home to nostalgic memories, to my own energy and connection with others, scent has been an outlet for me. It made me feel safe in my own world.”
Bella Hadid, born as Isabella Khair Hadid, is an American fashion model who has made a significant impact in the fashion industry. Throughout her career, she has graced the covers of international Vogue editions 29 times. In 2022, she was honoured as the Model of the Year by the British Fashion Council. Time magazine also recognised her as one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2023.
Born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Santa Barbara, California, Hadid began her modelling career at the age of 16 and was signed to IMG Models in 2014. She has since become one of the highest-paid models in the world, earning $19 million.
The range features alcohol-free fragrances. Hadid says, “I found that I was extremely sensitive to the alcohol in traditional perfumes—both physically and mentally—it became something that was more overwhelming than calming to me. That is the main reason I wanted to find an alternative, so essential oils became an artistic and experimental process for me. Growing lavender on my farm, walking through my garden every morning, learning about the history of my family making homemade scents, I realized I might have a calling in this. I found healing, joy, and love within nature’s scents.”
The three fragrances, which have been developed with perfumers at Firmenich and Robertet, are:
Window2Soul (by Clement Gavarry) – “A faceted rose and jasmine bouquet with accents of fresh lemon to bring out the green naturality, contrasted with addictive tonka bean.”
Blooming Fire (by Clement Gavarry) – “ A transportive tropical oasis of Tahitian monoi flower and exotic patchouli, elevated with a radiant bergamot. “
Salted Muse (by Jérôme Epinette) – “A vibrant introduction of sea salt and pink pepper plus an olive tree accord and lavender twist at the heart, finished with a dynamic association of woods and crisp amber.“
The company say, “Each ‘Ôrəbella intentional skin parfum is alcohol-free, hydrating, and elevated with essential oils to infuse with and last on the skin while amplifying the wearer’s aura. Going beyond cruelty-free, clean, and vegan, ‘Ôrəbella is also dermatologist tested and suitable for sensitive skin.”
The trio launches on Thursday on the https://orebella.com website, and at Ulta’s website and stores from 10th May and 12th May respectively.
