Slumberhouse introduce Norne: “A very dense pairing of pure absolutes”

Portland-based indie perfumers Slumberhouse have introduced new fragrance, Norne, which they say is “a very dense pairing of pure absolutes, hence the virtually pitch black color and strong potency”.The fragrance is composed of absolutes from the forest and is described by Slumberhouse as “a connoisseur-grade fantasy/surrealist recipe of intensed coniferous woodsy resins inspired by the catharsis of self-worship”Norne is available as 30ml Esprit de Parfum for $75 from the website.In other Slumberhouse news: Ore is no longer available due to the growing number of ingredients for this particular fragrance becoming unavailable to the perfumers.

Also, a limited production perfume oil called Miel is available again. Fantastic fragrance dominated by black tea absolute and honey notes; and it has (or at least had) leather notes and an awesome tobacco note they call "cigarette accord" which smells exactly like a freshly opened pack of cigarettes, not the stale smoke smell. I've ordered a bottle of both already and can't wait to try Norne and to finally have a quantity of Miel larger than the sample I've been rationing for nine months.

Sounds and looks like Nasomatto...
At least they're not charging 200$ for 30ml though lol.
$75 is a bit more reasonable ^_^

Yes, I agree; in my experience the slumberhouse frags are every bit as potent, dense, and long-lasting as the Nasomatto frags.

As Blacksun said, Slumberhouse frags are about as dense and concentrated as one could ever hope for. A complete 180 from contemporary trends. Not for everyone, so worth getting a selection of samples first. But for those interested in well-considered frags outside of the mainstream, both in smell and concept, Slumberhouse is a line worth looking into

From my humble perspective, Norne blows the entire line of Nasomatto frags out of the water. Where I get blah and uninspired from Nasomatto, I get the exact opposite from slumberhouse; vastly unique and stunningly interesting. The longevity is where the similarity ends (again IMHO)
