Paddington Bear, star of the third best film of all time according to Pedro Pascal’s character in the film The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, has collaborated with Jo Malone to create a fragrance based on his favourite snack, Orange Marmalade.
The fragrance contains notes of orange peel, orange bigarade and cashmere wood.
Jo Dancey, global brand president of Jo Malone London, says: “A childhood favourite and now our latest collaborator, Paddington conjures up cherished memories of fun-filled summer trips by train, exploring the British countryside and coastline—always with a picnic in tow.
“When it comes to our Orange Marmalade Cologne, really there was no other choice of partner we’d rather share our scent with—or marmalade sandwich, come to that.”
Françoise Guyonnet, spokesperson for Paddington, added: “We are delighted to be partnering with Jo Malone London to celebrate the marvellous Orange Marmalade scent inspired by Paddington’s favourite food.
“It is exciting to see both brands coming together to celebrate British heritage, as well as the shared values of kindness and generosity, in a campaign that captures Paddington’s essence so beautifully.”
“Marmalade is quintessentially British. After all, what is a traditional breakfast without a good marmalade? What a great inspiration for a scent, to have the bitterness of the orange rind blended with the sweetness of the marmalade.”, adds Céline Roux, Global Head Of Fragrance at Jo Malone London.

Orange Marmalade is available now. We’re not sure of its availability in Darkest Peru.
And after all, Paddington did provide QEII with one of the finest moments of her final years.
