Parisian fragrance house Roos & Roos has once again engaged Nicolas Bonneville to create the latest entry in its series of aromatic, green perfumes: ‘Les Simples’.
The collection, which celebrates medieval medicinal gardens, was launched in 2022 with Bonneville’s Globulus, along with Bel Absinthe and Malamata: ‘three herbs, three perfumes’. Established in monasteries, these medieval gardens would be filled with aromatic plants cultivated mainly for their therapeutic uses.
Described as a ‘lively green floral’, Angelica Florae’s fresh top notes combine angelica seeds with star anise, followed by pink and black peppercorns, leading to a heart of jasmine absolute and iris; patchouli anchors the base.
Angelica Florae will be available at independent retailers this month at £110 for 100ml.
