Pour Un Homme by Caron
Pour Un Homme is like a great rock song from the60 or 70'S , in the sense that you do not need to look into many things to make something outstanding , 3 chords put together in the perfect order and you can write a beautiful song, in this case 3 ingredients (lavender, vanilla, musk and a touch of green notes )blended perfectly together and you have a masterpiece . Au revoirPour Un Homme Le Soir by Caron
What a gem from Caron, a very nice, pleasant gentleman fragrance that stands between the iconic brothers Pour un Homme and Yatagan . Creamy, wonderful combination of lavanda, a touch of floral notes well balanced by the woody one. It can be worn all year round, but of course as the name suggests , it is perfect in the evening and for any special occasions too.ADVERTISEMENT
Insensé by Givenchy
You know what i really like most about colognes in general? The fact that they remind me different memories, but more in the sense
of how i I feel in any particular moment.. and from the very first moment i applied on me Insensé happiness came to my mind.
A delightful floral composition, which retains all the masculinity needed, for me to state
it's a masterpiece, as simple as that.
The only real shame about Insensè, is that currently it's basically out of production!
Givenchy please launch this marvellous(vintage )cologne into the market once again and forever
Tsar by Van Cleef & Arpels
Tsar is a good fragrance with a strong character. The opening reminds me a little bit of Quorum, but immediately it takes a different path,
as it gets more earthy and musky.
The second phase is lovely floral and fruity , and I'm sure to detect some tea notes as well,
all together accompanied with a predominant leather essence.
The dry down is the part I like most , since it's a lavender oak moss mix, which lasts forever
It could be worn all year round, since it is great for winter , but with a lighter application it can be very pleasant during warmer days too.
Rive Gauche pour Homme by Yves Saint Laurent
So here it comes Rive Gauche : pure elegance and magnificence .A creamy heart surrounded by a gentle, green-aromatic touch , with the perfect combination of anise, grapefruit and lavender notes to lead a wonderful better sweet symphony.
Chapeau YSL
Polo Black by Ralph Lauren
I don't agree at all with all the negative reviews this fragrance has received.Ok probably it's not a top one , it's quite generic, a little bit synthetic and very sweet;
but it's also very spicy, modern and fresh with a decent sandalwood and patchouli dry down and i can assure you'll get lots of compliments, if you decide to wear Polo Black, as women just love it.
Unbound for Men by Halston
I'm kinda surprised that until now there're not negative reviews about Unbound.I mean it's a clone of Acqua di Gio, maybe it's a little better constructed, but it's too much sweet , common and basically anyone will ask you hey are you wearing armani Acqua …
I'm sorry but there are so many other fragrances that I would buy instead of this.
Quorum by Antonio Puig
I warn you it will take time for you to fully appreciate and enjoy this fragrance. It's so complex, so strong and masculine: a mix of wet wood , tobacco and vanilla which evolves gradually until you'll understand what real men should smell like.. "Quorum "
Eau de Rochas Homme by Rochas
This review is for" Eau de Rochas pour Homme" the first edition.A blast of citrus and green notes, probably the most natural fragrance i have ever smelled. Perfect for spring and early autumn I'd say.
I would be curious to try the current version "Homme", since in the "Pour Homme" i detect a predominant note of basil, I suppose, which I don't like too much, as it makes the fragrance a little bit dated. Anyway a big thumb up for Eau de Rochas ; if you want to smell good and different, give it a try.
