Green perfumes edition over the last 5 years

What's new in green perfume area? what are you favorites and purchases among newest items? For men and for women (I'm woman but I'm not confused using the men's bottles). I wondered lux & mass-market brands, no niche.

Due to my previous experience, I know a lot of wonderful green perfumes from vintage Sikkim and old versions of Vent Vert to modern and strange Fathom V and The Unicorn Spell by Les Nez. Unfortunately now I live 'in the middle of nowhere', I haven't access to my collection, haven't ability to test and try niche perfume. After a five-years break in my hobby I find out that all my knowledge about green smells was in vintage and niche area. I feel lost between ordinary mass and lux perfumes in local stores.

It seems to me that green smells are not popular now( I entered cosmetics chain store or drugstore and see sweet, floral, musky, gourmand and other 'attractive' perfumes, but not green.
What is your opinion?

@whisper-of-cranberry That’s a pretty accurate assessment of the current popular market, from what I have also observed. I can’t think of new green scents. My favourites are Sisley Eau de Campagne and Guerlain Cologne du Parfumeur, neither of which are new or widely available. The only thing I can think of is there might be something in the Elizabeth Arden Green Tea line. Those are available in some of the mass market stores. Maybe others will have additional ideas.

I think there's been a lot of great "green" stuff in niche perfumery (my very favorite being Synthetic nature). But I agree with you that the note is not very popular in mainstream.

One I sprayed recently and enjoyed was Margiela From the garden, with a niche tomato leaf note. Also, whether on a positive or a negative note, Estee Lauder launched a luxury version of Private collection. It's gorgeous, more green than the original. But sadly also several times the price.

Parfum d'Empire has a couple of very good green scents; Mal-Aime, the latest, and Corsica Furiosa from several years back. They're admittedly a niche brand, but their prices are more Chanel level than Malle or Amouage. You can order a custom set of samples, the price of which you can deduct from your next purchase, I believe.

If you were after new scents to test in store, I can only think of a few male-marketed scents that are green-ish, like maybe Bvlgari pour Homme EDP (similar to the Extreme), or possibly L'Eau d'Issey PH Vetiver.

Otherwise there's Chanel with the not-so-new Chanel 19 Poudre, or their recently tweaked Cristalle Eau Verte, which starts off bright and green but does dry down to a sweet floral. If you have Hermes where you are, I enjoy their Eau de Basilic Pourpre, which is an aromatic citrus.

And if you have access to L'Occitane, their new Barbotine is great, a slightly creamy, slightly herbaceous green floral (edit: more floral than green floral, coming to think of it).

I very very much enjoy Parfum d'Empire's Vetiver Bourbon which is a very multi faceted vetiver, but you might consider this one as niche.

Then there's Hermes' H24, the EdT is the most green imho; they also seem to have relaunched their most fascinating Eau de Gentiane Blanche, same with Dior's Jules that's still very good.
There's the Sisley "Eau reve"-line out of which the "Hubert" is the most interesting green one, besides the old "Ikar".

But this isn't really news to be honest. I would love spotting some new budget greens without tonka/rough woody-amber/milky florals or vanillic drydowns on the local shelves, but haven't noticed such things lately.

The luxe room fragrance brand Antica Farmacista has released a reasonably priced niche line of 5 skin perfumes, including one called Green Green which my wife likes. In this case, "green" means very woody cedar and cypress, plus some cumin, basil, citrus, tea and other unstated herbs. I'll be wearing it today.

Good advices but some of these items are known for me and some of them are not available. Of course range of perfumes is very different from one country to another one
If smb has the same problems, see my finds:

Laura Biagiotti - Roma Uomo Green Swing
DSQUARED² - Green Wood
David Beckham - Aromatic Greens

The perfumer of Green Swing and Green Wood is Daphné Bugey. Both of them are woody-green and not too masculine (that means I don't feel like I use my boyfriend's after-shave)

What's new in green perfume area?
There hasn't been anything particularly outstanding in this area. As you mention later on in your post, this type of scent/genre is going out of fashion (if not already), meaning Joe Public doesn't want to wear this sort of scent. Obviously, the story is totally different here on BN where enthusiasts of all backgrounds and likes have a different story to tell.

If you could stretch the boundaries of what you are asking to a much broader spectrum, I would say you should check out Trumper's Eucris EdP release from 2018. Not exactly recent, but one of many releases that I would put in the green/chypre category.
what are you favorites and purchases among newest items?
Aside from the one mentioned above, I would say the following which is definitely not 'new' should be on your try list. It's not that well known, but is a hidden gem in this genre:
The only other scent I would say is worth trying/owning that is a fairly recent release is:
It seems to me that green smells are not popular now( I entered cosmetics chain store or drugstore and see sweet, floral, musky, gourmand and other 'attractive' perfumes, but not green.
What is your opinion?
Quite right. Men's perfumery is heading down the 'sweet and sugary' path, which is not going to satisfy the average Basenoter.
