Hello
What is the musk that comes in a tola like the picture and is sticky?
What kind of musk is this? Is it an agreement or a single substance like glycolide?
How does it come so sticky?
What it smells like: If you must know, this scent was made for you! Let your natural radiance shine with this everlasting scent that brings out the best in you.
Fragrance notes: iris, pink pepper and airy musk.

Good morning everyone. I was recently impressed by two fragrances, one from Al Haramain and one from Rasasi, two prominent middle eastern perfume houses. Looking through their other offerings, I noticed that although much of what they produce are inspired by mainstream western men's and women's...
Over the years I have come to love fragrances that combine citrus with a little musk. The combination of the warm soapy 'humane' musk gives a very sensual quality when combined with the bright citrus. Unfortunately, I've never found a citrus fragrance that performed well and smelled good - the...
Can anyone who has tried both Areej Le Dore Siberian Musk and Russian Musk (any iteration) compare them? I have tried Siberian Musk III, and liked it, but felt it was too animalic and off-putting for general use. I have tried Musk Lave recently and found that to be minimally animalic and more...
Hello all, I've been trying to make a formula similar to Monsieur Musk. A friend of mine loves it, but the new formulations pale in comparison to the older original.
Can anyone help?
I've come up with vintage feeling perfumes, but not close enough to Monsieur Musk.

This is a lovely, but slightly frustrating scent. I have it in soap, shower gel, and EdC. The soap has the most marvelous white floral and musk note -- absolutely beautiful. The EdC has a very faint scent, mostly a light citrus and musk. It sits very close to the skin. Still, it is charming...
Most sites describes it as animalic, sweet, powdery. For me, sweet and animalic are quite contradictory, but well, it's for me. By itself, either powder or solution, I feel faint sweet smell, and even more faint fur smell.
But being added in formula, I feel it something like a kind of something...
Hi all,
I've been working for months on a Timbersilk/Javanol accord. The goal is an elegant, educated, velvety smell.
My base accord was a 1/1/0.06 mix of TS/Iso E/Javanol. The Javanol came around late in the maturation process and surfed on the two others really well, giving a smooth, silky...
Hi there. I am new to the forum. I made a poll too. Please answer it.
I want to hear from people as to which musks they consider to be the workhorse of the industry. I do know the answer but I want to hear it from others also.
Also quickly - which musks are the least powdery soapy effect? I used...
Hi all,
This is my first post here, so do please let me know if I’m violating any rules.
Bit of an introduction.. I’m a massive theme park nerd, and I loved the ride “Duel” at Alton Towers, specifically the scents within the attraction.
After some digging, I’ve found out that the firm that...
Probably my favorite vanilla fragrance for women, that mass appealing skank (for lack of a better word) is very distinct, definitely some castoreum in there but castoreum is hard to work with especially for someone who doesn't like leather notes, it always just smells too phenolic, like pen ink...
Looking for opinions on which musk(s) to use in a beachy, white floral (jasmine/lys) fragrance with some sheer amber in the drydown. The only musk I can't really detect is ethylene brassylate, but I feel like the descriptions of that one fit the bill. Maybe some aurelione? Fixolide? I don't want...
Hey fellow Base noters, I’ve been playing around with cedarwood atlas variants , as It’s my favorite material at the moment, and while working on building a perfume I stumbled across an accord I like, but it was too simple for my taste and I’ve moved on from it. It’s surprisingly radiant off the...
Hey, I'm new to Base notes, I want to create a scent that smells clean, smooth, dark, musky, kind of creamy/thick feel, but not sweet. It's a scent you'd smell in a men's skin care product.
Thank you
Just a quick one, how high/low do you typically keep your musks as a % of your concentration?
Of course it depends on the musks you use, and what you want to achieve - but I find ethylene brassylate the easiest to push to a high dose without too much of a flattening affect.
I ask because...
Hello everyone,
First of all : I love everything about perfumes !
It all started when I saw that perfume is as impressing as a nice suite , designer shoes or a branded watch both in business or daily life.
I believe that a perfume can make or break a first contact with a person.
I am...
