Smells similar to Carven pour Homme, which I used to own. I sold it because it smelled a little dated and was just a nice fragrance but nothing I loved or needed. I have not been able to sample Gucci Envy, so I cannot comment on that but I know the Carven is a very popular and cheaper dupe for Envy.

When smelling close to skin, there is a green note that reminds me of wet moss, or the way weathered, wet wood smells. However, all I get in the air is a light, pleasant scent. It's actually very clean and pleasant away from skin, with just a slight sweetness. I don't remember the Carven being this nice so maybe Envy is like this.

Interesting performance with light projection throughout but very good longevity, lasting all day.
