Irida Eau de Parfum by Angelos Créations Olfactives

The perfumer says:

Iris or Irida was the Goddess of Rainbow according to Greek Mythology, but also is one of the most spectacular flowers. In this soliflore creation, I wanted to present all the facets of this flower and of course particularly the root (aka Orris root), of which Orris butter is made of and it is sincerely one of my most favorite and most used raw materials. Dry, powdery, violety, green, aromatic, woody facets all dance in perfect harmony and balance.

...I AM IRONE MAN...(of course satirizing Black Sabbath's Iron Man.)

This is the Greek house of Angelos Creations Olfactives' 2023 Irida Extract I'm reviewing. A very rich 33% concentration.
The house itself notes "Orris Butter 15% Irones, Orris Absolute 68% Irones, Orris Absolute 80% Irones (Iris Pallida from France.") Also, Labdanum Resinoid and Cistus Absolute and an aged Santalum Album EO from East India.
Top notes of Tunisian Neroli Oil and Violet Leaf Absoulte open the show with the Orris right there as well.
Joining the Orris Butter and Absolutes in the heart are Carrot Seed, Violet, Jasmine, Clove Bud and Cinnamon.
The base is comprised of the aforementioned East Indian Sandalwood, Amyris, Haitian Vetiver, Guiac Wood, Ambrette Seed Oil, Cistus Absolute and the Labdanum Resinoid.
So how does it smell? In a word, beautiful. It's unisex, leaning feminine to my nose. Most of the wear is that "lipstick" Iris people talk about, but I like that smell so it doesn't bother me. I get light and fleeting support from primarily cinnamon, jasmine and violet but they never interfere with the Orris/Iris and it's fascinating facets. Woody, suede-ish, almost doughy and ever so slightly earthy.
In the dry down the musky ambrette begins to show itself along with the creamy sandalwood. The base is rather heavenly - creamy, rounded, lightly leathery and woody but never does it get overly powdery. Performance is great - lasts all day and pushes out beyond arms length for probably 1/3rd of that and closes in slowly afterward until it's a skin scent.
