Jaguar Classic Black

Not bad. The initial notes of Tonka and Nutmeg are predominant on my skin. Yes, it's a bit generic but still nice for casual wearing. Longevity is an issue here though...barely 2 hours. Still giving Jaguar Classic Black a thumbs up. Just know that it's a decent blend with little staying power that starts out spicey then fades into an aquatic whisper.

Not a black scent as the bottle would have you expect.

The main note is the marine accord. Other than some musk I can't make out much else. I liked it when applied on a test strip, it remained a constant, mature aquatic.

On skin however it's a different story for me. Fades away very fast. And more concerningly, before fading away it started smelling sour which was very unpleasant.

The apple-citrus is really dominant in the opening, quite bright and light.

The drydown adds a floral touch with a component of black tea, the latter rather wile a weak tea and not very harsh or smoky. Gently spicy touches - think cardamom with whiffs of white musk.

The other side of the heart notes is a marine impression, with an ozonic touch at times. Developing after the top notes have settled down somewhat, this permeates the drydown until the last stages develop.

The base is a touch sweeter - with a rather restrained tonka to blame, and a nonspecific woodsy undertone.

I get moderate sillage, adequate projection and four hours of longevity on my skin.

This warm weather scent is not bad, but quite synthetic and generic at times. 2.75/5.

I really like this smell, but the longevity is really poor. The scent also doesn't change at all. If your want and cheap go to scent that is safe and cheap go for this.

Good scent which disappears almost before the full dry down. I don't know how they managed that, but they did. Smells like a cheaper version of Azzaro Chrome Legend without the silage or the longevity.

There is nothing black about it. It's an aquatic.

Eh, what do you expect from a car fragrance company? I can't wait 'til Ford makes a cologne so that I can smell like an oakie farmer!

Okay, from what I read about the notes, like green apple, tea and "oceanic" notes you'd think it would be bright and airy but my nose is reading something a bit different. Don't get me wrong, I'm not getting a dark scent but something ambery.

I know the list has no Amber but that's what I get, just a little warm and comfortable manly scent. It sorta reminds me of Memoire by Ricci in the way it is light but gives off a more formal vibe.

Its been about 4 hours since I applied and it's barely there on my skin now, bummer.
I really like it though.
