A bright opening blast with bergamot and whiffs of lemon, which is spices up a bit with elements of white pepper.

Soon arises the jasmine that gives this creation its name. A dark jasmine that is dark, with a sweetish touch owing to almonds and woodsy undertones. The jasmine is a bit stronger in this faller than it was in the original.

The base arrives quite early, and is rich with licorice and a myrrh impression too. The licorice is done quite well and fairly characteristic, with the myrrh being a bit sweeter than, for instance, in Goutal's Myrrh Ardente; it has just a little balsamic touch here and is neither haughty nor ceremonious on me.

I get moderate sillage, good projection and five hours of longevity on my skin.

This pleasant jasmine spring scent flanker for cooler days is a bit stronger than the original, as one expects from an Essence, and it is equally noir, but it is a bit too synthetic and at times a tad too generic. Overall 2.75/5.
