JAZEBELLE (Bourbon French)

My experience of Bourbon French's soliflore White Ginger is that it more resembles Ylang Ylang than Jasmine, the note most commonly associated with it.

Jazebelle is reported to be a combination of the White Ginger Lily and the Butterfly Lily, which is confusing to begin with, since Wikipedia tells me they are one and the same plant under different names.

Jazebelle is a strong, heavy, very jasmine-like white floral and does not resemble BF's soliflore White Ginger at all. It is very reminiscent of early 20th century woman's floral perfumes. BF's web site warns “not for the faint of heart” with this one, which is a fair warning.

It has good projection and is long-lasting, a small application going a long way, so is certainly economical. I would recommend this for the mature woman to be worn on social occasions, a night at the theatre or opera, or a romantic occasion. It might not be wise to wear this during the heat of summer, as it may become oppressive.

All in all, a strong white jasmine-like floral, well blended and presented. Recommended.
